 铜包钢线由钢芯线和紧密包覆其外的铜层构成，按导电率可分为21%IACS、30%IACS和40%IACS三种，按退火状态可分为软态（A）和硬态（H）。也可按用户要求生产所需导电率和抗拉强度的产品。经过深加工，可加工成镀银铜包钢线、镀锡铜包钢线。
执行标准：ASTM B86996（CATV 引入线用铜包钢线），ASTM B452-93（电子产品用铜包钢线）
